Kenneth Lessans, MD
Dr. Kenneth Lessans was born and raised in Maryland, before attending college at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY. He attended medical school at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. He moved closer to home to complete his internship in General Surgery and residency in Urology at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania under the direction of Alan Wein MD. He completed his pediatric rotations at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia under the guidance of renowned pediatric surgeon John Duckett MD. Dr. Lessans also served as chief resident during his final year at Penn, 1997-1998.
He has special interests in bladder cancer, complex incontinence, and neurogenic voiding dysfunction. He performs radical cystectomy and neobladder surgery for bladder cancer
patients.
He met his wife Pam at Children’s Hospital and they have raised 2 children in Lancaster. He enjoys cycling and is an active member in the Lancaster Bicycle Club. He also enjoys driving his track car and instructs high performance driving with several area car clubs at race tracks from New York to Virginia.
